Frequently Asked Questions

Are all plaques the same?

No — each plaque is made from natural wood, so the grain, tone, and engraving contrast vary. That uniqueness is part of what makes every piece one-of-a-kind.

What size are your plaques?

Most plaques are 10 × 7.5 in (3/4" thick). Select designs are also available in 14 × 7.5 in. Each product page clearly lists orientation (portrait or landscape).

Can I request a custom order?

Option 1: You Provide the Image & Words

  • Send us the verse, quote, or text you’d like engraved and your own image (black-and-white line art or high-resolution photo works best).

  • We’ll format and engrave it directly onto your plaque.

Option 2: You Provide the Words, We Help with the Image

  • Share the verse, quote, or dedication you’d like on your plaque.

  • We’ll design or suggest an image to go with it (examples: dove, lion, tree, sunrise).

  • You’ll receive a proof for approval before engraving.

Option 3: Words Only

  • Provide the verse, quote, or names you’d like engraved.

  • We’ll create a clean, text-only design that highlights your message beautifully.

All custom plaques include a digital proof for your approval. Once approved, your design is final and non-refundable, since it is made specifically for you.

At Mystery Woodworking, every piece is crafted with care, intention, and purpose. Because each plaque is made from natural wood with its own grain and character, no two pieces are ever the same — and that uniqueness is part of the beauty we stand behind.

If for any reason your order arrives damaged, defective, or not what you expected, please reach out to us within 14 days of delivery. We’ll work with you — whether that means a replacement, repair, or refund — with kindness and understanding.

Custom Order Agreement

Every custom plaque is created with special care to reflect your unique vision. Before we begin engraving, you’ll receive a design proof (a digital mockup) for review.

Your order will only move forward once you have approved the design in writing (via email or message). This sign-off confirms that all details — including text, imagery, and layout — are correct.

Once approved, custom orders are final and non-refundable, as the piece is made specifically for you. However, if your plaque arrives damaged or with an error that does not match your approved proof, we’ll make it right.
